Mayor Proclaims August as

“Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington Month”

BLOOMINGTON, IN –Mayor Mark Kruzan has proclaimed August to be “Ivy Tech Community College–Bloomington Month” in Bloomington. Kruzan made the announcement during Ivy Tech-Bloomington’s “Grow Ivy Tech-the campaign for our community” fundraising kickoff ceremony held July 27, 2005, at the Bloomington/Monroe County Convention Center.

 Kruzan stated that Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington, under the leadership of Chancellor John Whikehart, has grown to become a comprehensive community college for our area.

 John Whikehart, Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington Chancellor, says that the college has benefited from Kruzan’s support not only as mayor of Bloomington since 2004, but in his role as State Representative of the 61st District. “Mayor Kruzan has been, and continues to be, a champion of Ivy Tech-Bloomington.”

Last week, the Monroe County Commissioners proclaimed August as Ivy Tech Community College - Bloomington month in Monroe County.
