Ivy Tech to "Transform Lives" During Career Expo 2006

Bloomington, IN - Officials at Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington announced today that over 40 employers will be participating in this year's Career Expo. The event, titled "Transforming Lives," brings students together with employers from south central Indiana and will be held on April 6, 2006, from 1:30 pm until 4 pm at Ivy Tech, 200 Daniels Way in Bloomington.
There will be representatives from business and industry focusing on career opportunities in the areas of accounting, office and business administration, computer information systems, design technology, electronics, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, facilities, industrial maintenance, PN and RN nursing, paramedic science, criminal justice, early childhood education, kinesiology and biotechnology at this year's Career Expo.
Career Expo is open to a diverse range of job seekers including associate degree candidates, students seeking internships or co-ops, or even summer employment. Those who are currently employed who want to change careers or advance in their fields, as well as local area high school seniors are also encouraged to attend.
Career Expo 2006 is sponsored by Bloomington Hospital, Express Personnel Services, Herald-Times, Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, South Central Indiana Human Resource Association (SCIHRA), Ivy Tech Student Government Association, Monroe Bank, Personnel Management, Inc. (PMI), and PTS Electronics.
