Ivy Tech-Bloomington School of Technology Day Brings Local Employers to Campus

Bloomington, Ind. Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington is holding a School of Technology Day to inform students about career opportunities, earning potential, and program offerings in the field of Advanced Manufacturing. The event will be held Wednesday, October 1st from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the courtyard at the back of the Ivy Tech – Bloomington main campus building located at 200 Daniels Way.

The event is an opportunity for current and prospective Ivy Tech students to learn about new program offerings in Advanced Manufacturing, as well as to talk with industry representatives about employment potential in this growing field.  

The event includes Advanced Manufacturing demonstrations, Ivy Tech-Bloomington lab tours, information about Ivy Tech programs, and a free cook out for those attending. Students will have the opportunity to speak with company representatives from Cook Medical, Baxter, Tasus and others about employment in the field. Faculty from the School of Technology will also be on hand to discuss career opportunities in Design Technology, Industrial Technology, and Electronics and Computer Technology.

The School of Technology will also be starting a student chapter of the National Association of Information Technology at the event.
