Information Technology Degree for Ivy Tech

State officials have authorized Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington to offer a two-year degree program in health information technology.

The college plans to begin offering courses for the associate of science program in 2006. The degree will prepare students to work in the fields of health information and medical records management.

The Indiana Commission for Higher Education approved the program, adding it to a series of health and life-science degrees at Ivy Tech-Bloomington, including radiation therapy, respiratory care and biotechnology.
