Bloomington, Ind. – This week, August 25-27, Baxter BioPharma Solutions will host an international human resources conference at the Indiana Center for the Life Sciences, located on Ivy Tech’s Bloomington campus at 501 N. Profile Parkway on the west side. Ivy Tech-Bloomington’s Chancellor John Whikehart will open the conference with a welcome message to guests.
Baxter is holding a 26 person human resource conference, in which guests from four different countries will be in attendance, including Canada, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and Singapore. Other participants will arrive from locations across the U.S.
“The Indiana Center for the Life Sciences is the first place I think of when I think about where Baxter could host a global conference like this,” said Greg Rippberger, HR Director at Baxter. “I wouldn’t think of anywhere else – it’s just a perfect fit.”
Conference participants will learn from expert panel discussions about trends emerging that will affect general human resources business.
Panelists will consist of an economist, a business lecturer, an environmentalist, attorneys-at-law, and others. The panels will also address generation gaps in employees, and how that affects the business of human resources.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from IU professors, other special guests, and Baxter employees during the panels.
Conference guests will have a chance to take a tour of the IU campus and other Bloomington, Ind. tourist locations.
Partners of Baxter for the conference include the Indiana Center for the Life Sciences, Ivy Tech, IU, the Bloomington Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
