Ivy Tech to offer art classes for kids this summer at Waldron, open registration May 22

Bloomington, Ind.Ivy Tech Community College will offer 10 weeks of art classes for children ages 5-11 at the John Waldron Arts Center this summer. Open registration for Ivy Tech’s new program, Ivy Arts for Kids, will take place on Sat., May 22 from Noon to 4 p.m. at the Waldron.

Ivy Arts for Kids will feature five unique and creative two week sessions with both morning and afternoon classes. Ivy Arts for Kids will run from June 7 through Aug.13. Morning sessions are 9 a.m. to Noon and afternoon sessions are from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with an optional lunch hour with Ivy Tech between the morning and afternoon sessions.

Some courses include Eco Art, Yummy!, Native Art, Music to My Ears and Eyes, Spread Your Wings, Not Just a Brush Painting, and Wearable Art, among others.

After the Sat., May 22 registration session at Waldron, parents will still be able to sign their kids up by mail or by walk-in. Registration forms will be available at www.ivytech.edu/bloomington/CLL. Mail forms or drop them off downtown to Ivy Tech’s Center for Lifelong Learning at the John Waldron Arts Center.
