Ivy Tech Waldron accepting artist submissions for gallery space

Bloomington, Ind. – Recent changes at the Ivy Tech John Waldron Arts Center have made it possible for area artists who have work displayed in the galleries, to keep 100 percent of their sales.
The Waldron’s 2011 call for gallery submissions runs now through Dec. 1 and all visual artists are invited to apply.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer artists 100 percent of their sales,” Julie Roberts, Ivy Tech Waldron gallery director said. “Additionally, Ivy Tech will provide refreshments, staff and clean up for opening receptions. Those are generally held on the first Friday of each month.”
The Ivy Tech Waldron has five freshly updated galleries and soon to be six. Galleries at the Ivy Tech Waldron include; the Miller, Vault, Flashlight, Education and Treasurer’s. The sixth gallery, a sound-capable video gallery, will be added in 2011. The new gallery space will be large-scale and motion-activated. Installation artists and new media artists are welcome to apply.
Artists can apply for gallery space at http://ivytech.slideroom.com through Dec. 1. There is a $20 fee for submission service. New gallery rates include publicity and advertising support, along with a multi-faceted Web presence. Exhibitor rates range from $55 - $165 depending on the gallery. Shows remain on display for one month.
